Chloé published a definitive book of its fashion shows

‘Chloé Catwalk’ traces the 70-year history of the Maison – from Gaby to Gabi

To coincide with the 70th anniversary of Chloé in 2022, the Maison releases the first comprehensive overview of its collections to be presented through fashion show photography. ‘Chloé Catwalk’ traces the history of the Maison – from the founder Gaby Aghion to today’s creative director Gabriela Hearst.

The book opens with a concise retelling of Chloé’s inspiring origins in 1950s Paris, when Aghion established a Maison with the goal of pioneering luxury ready-to-wear that centred on ease and femininity; offering elegant designs for the modern, liberated woman.

With words by the venerated fashion journalists Suzy Menkes and Lou Stoppard, inside, the collections are arranged chronologically and are accompanied by passages dedicated to each of the creative forces that have shaped the Maison's future, while honouring its singular femininity. They include: Karl Lagerfeld, Martine Sitbon, Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo, Hannah MacGibbon, Clare Waight Keller, and Natacha Ramsay-Levi.

A rich reference section, including an extensive index, concludes the book.

‘Chloé Catwalk’ is available now on Chloe.com.
