Highlights from the Spring 2020 show in Shanghai

Discover the first-ever Chloé spring pre-collection runway show

In June, Chloé presented the Spring 2020 collection in Shanghai, where the city’s historical and cultural richness offered both the backdrop and inspiration for this unique destination show. Natacha Ramsay-Levi’s personal fascination for the Fifth Generation of Chinese cinema played out through looks that mixed preciousness and utility, evoking strong female characters amidst the contemporary architecture of the Long Museum.
An archive Art Deco-style geometric logo alongside floral buds and blooms introduced distinctive visual interest, with classic Chloé neutrals freshly accented by enamel shades of persimmon and cherry, terracotta, umber, saffron and cornflower blue. Delicate jewelry pieces from hair combs to ribbon chokers drew from Shanghai’s Belle Époque, while lizard-embossed slingbacks, buckled loafer boots, and a new Aby bucket bag made their debut as dusk settled over the Huangpu River.
