The legacy of our founder, Gaby Aghion, and her visionary take on femininity continue to inspire our long-term commitment to improving the status of women, addressing gender-based inequalities, and promoting inclusion. Our goal is to create beautiful products grounded in responsible environmental and social practices.
As a Maison within the Richemont Group, we share a strong commitment to responsible and sustainable practices, in compliance with the laws of the countries where we operate. For more information, please visit Richemont’s Sustainability page.
We aim to extend our strategy across all our activities—from sourcing to product manufacturing—and to our teams, with women always serving as both our inspiration and our drivers of change.
We seek to transform our operations and shift our mindset through our day-to-day practices. We are committed to enhancing social and environmental sustainability with greater transparency and accountability. This section will be updated regularly to reflect our progress as well as evolving legislation and regulations in this area.
While we recognize that change does not happen overnight and takes many forms, we are fully committed to this exciting journey. We are ready to work together toward a fairer and more sustainable future.

Chloé relies on external organizations and working groups, as well as recognized certifications and labels, to guide and measure the transformation of its business.
We have established a committee dedicated to our social and environmental commitments, comprising external experts—Elisabeth Laville, Niki Schilling, and Sanaz Zaimi—to whom we report on our progress. The committee meets twice a year at our Paris offices to review the status of our initiatives, identify areas for improvement, and highlight critical issues for the company’s resilience.
Collaboration within the industry and even beyond is the only way for systemic change. For that reason, we are proud to work closely with a strong ecosystem of partners across social and environmental topics.
Discover some of our partners and industry initiatives we have joined: B Corp Movement, World Fair Trade Organization, The Fashion Pact, Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Sustainable Markets Initiative, Paris Good Fashion.
B Corp is an international certification¹ established in 2006, awarded to companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. To achieve certification, Chloé was assessed using a rigorous questionnaire comprising 200 to 300 questions, structured around five key areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers. Following its initial certification in October 2021, Chloé confirmed its B Corp¹ certification for a second time in October 2024.
¹The "Certified B Corporation" designation is awarded by B Lab, a private non-profit organization, to companies that—like ours—have successfully completed the B Impact Assessment ("BIA") and meet B Lab’s requirements regarding social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
B Lab is neither a conformity assessment body within the meaning of Regulation (EU) No 765/2008 nor a national, European, or international standardization body within the meaning of Regulation (EU) No 1025/2012. The BIA criteria are distinct and independent from harmonized standards derived from ISO norms or other standardization bodies, and they are not ratified by national or European public institutions. Chloé contributes to Richemont’s overall approach by sharing its progress in the Group’s non-financial report, available here.
The SP&L (Social Profit & Loss) approach is a methodology developed in partnership with the Institut Français de la Mode and the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, and reviewed by the consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). The SP&L approach is a management tool designed to integrate positive social impacts into performance and accounting reports, alongside environmental and financial performance criteria. It enables organizations to measure, evaluate, and visualize their positive social impact on stakeholders, and to propose action plans to improve their own practices as well as those of their suppliers.
